Obituary

Kelsey embodied a free-spirited nature, embracing each moment with an open heart and a gentle curiosity for the world around her.

We remember and celebrate the beautiful life of Kelsey Lynn Thibodeaux, who was born on March 5, 1993, and passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 33. Kelsey’s journey through this world, though far too brief, was radiant with love, laughter, and a unique spirit that touched all who knew her.

From her earliest days, Kelsey embodied a free-spirited nature, embracing each moment with an open heart and a gentle curiosity for the world around her. She lived each day with authenticity and a compassionate energy that left a lasting imprint on family and friends alike.

Kelsey was a loving and devoted mother, her most cherished role. She poured her boundless love and creativity into nurturing her three beloved children: Finn Joseph Richard and Rowan Kai Richard, her treasured sons, and Juliana Grace Johnson, her precious daughter. Her home was a sanctuary where laughter rang and love bloomed in everyday moments—a place shaped by her nurturing hands and open heart. The lessons, encouragement, and warmth she provided continue to live on in her children, who were always her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Kelsey’s loving influence extended beyond her children. She was a devoted daughter to her mother, Christena Rougeau Thibodeaux, and sister to Johnathon Thibodeaux (Katy) and Bridget Thibodeaux. She also leaves behind her godmother, Lena Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her father, James "Gary" Thibodeaux.

To know Kelsey was to witness someone who gracefully walked her own path. Her free spirit inspired those around her to embrace life more fully and to love more earnestly. Though she has departed this world, her memory remains a guiding light—reminding us to cherish one another, to find beauty in small moments, and to live with the same openness and joy that she so freely offered.

Kelsey Lynn Thibodeaux’s soul was a source of light and love that will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and eternally cherished.
