Katherine "Winkey" Melancon Coker passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the age of 54.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ron LaCombe will officiate. Inurnment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum in Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin doing the committal.

Katherine is survived by her husband William Coker, Jr. of Mamou; her parents, L. C. Melancon and Barbara Watson Melancon of Eunice; one son, Nicholas Burge of Houston; and two sisters, Kam Butler and husband Brandon of Crowley; and Celeste Vidrine and husband Brent of Sunset.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
