Julius James Gaspard passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the age of 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with Father Martin Laird officiating. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Fr. Laird will recite a Rosary at 12:30 PM, before the start of the Mass. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Julius is survived by his wife, Joyce Bradford Gaspard; two sons, Clint Gaspard (Jane), Clay Gaspard; step-sons, Steven Adam (Loranie), Brad Adam (Patricia); one daughter, Dana Dupont; one sister, Elaine Mahar; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavan and Mary Langlais Gaspard; two brothers, Homer Gaspard, McRoy Gaspard; four sisters, Lula Bordelon, Eula Phillips, Inez Furman, Darlene Gaspard and son-in-law, Tony Dupont.
