Julie had a love for all and touched many lives in the Women’s and Children’s NICU. Always positive, loving, kind and generous. Her spirit has taught us much about faith, love, sacrifice and appreciation for life. Thank you Julie for allowing us to learn from your life and wisdom😇😇🙏🙏
When Jay and Julie moved next door to us, we already had children the same age in their son, Jude, and my daughter, Ursula. We talked about having more children (amongst other things), and in April 2005, she sent me an email (because I was away visiting my family in Lafourche parish). In the email, she said that if I wanted to have another set of kids that were the same age, I needed to hurry and get pregnant! LOL Little did I know, I was already pregnant! LOL So it was, that we were indeed pregnant for our last babies together :) I had mine at home, and she came over with baby Gabriel soon afterwards, to welcome him <3 I have missed them being our neighbors, as they were the good kind to have :) You are well loved by many and will be missed, Julie!

Julie was a special and dear friend and person to me and our family and group - she had more strength and courage than me for sure - we will take care of hers and she went straight to heaven no doubt
I will remember her as the flower girl in our wedding 33 years ago. I will remember her as the giddy 16 year old with a new license that I allowed to drive my convertible, and she almost wrecked. I will remember her as rebellious twenty something that thought she knew better than everyone else. I will remember the love in her eyes the day she married her wonderful husband, the joy she shared as she brought two children into this world.I will remember how she used her education to help children with terminal illness cope with their situations. I will remember the strength she showed as she carried the burden of cancer herself, ravishing her body and being over two plus years. Julie, my sweet little sister, you will be missed.
