Julia Bertrand passed away on Monday May 27, 2013 at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 2 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Father Nathan Comeaux will officiate. Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery (T Mamou) in Basile. Julia is survived by three daughters, Sandra Lasage, Glenda Adkins, and Nancy Clavier, all of Eunice; three sons, Bobby Bertrand and wife Donna of Elton, Bert Bertrand and wife Pam of Basile, and Jimmy Bertrand and wife Nicola of Beaumont, TX; one brother, J.B. LeBleu of Elton; one sister, Lena Matthews of Elton; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Laura Cradeur LeBleu; her husband, Estherword Bertrand; one daughter, Esther B. Aguillard; one son, Hillard "Slim" Bertrand; one sister, Jane L. Matt; one brother, Paul LeBleu; one grandchild, Mitchell Paul Derise; one great grandchild, Alora Derise. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 1p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will be open all night for visitation. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Quirk & Son Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
