Juanita Gale Soileau Davy, a beloved homemaker and devoted presence in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 23, 2026. Born on December 19, 1949, in Eunice, Louisiana, Juanita lived a life marked by unwavering love, dedication, and cherished family moments.

Throughout her life, Juanita found joy in the simple yet profound aspects of daily living. She was a loving homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and found fulfillment cleaning houses. Her passion for cooking and shopping punctuated her days, bringing comfort and happiness to those around her. Above all, Juanita treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, whose laughter and presence lit up her world.

Juanita’s memory will forever be enshrined in the hearts of her surviving family. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Scott "Red" Davy, and his wife, Erica; her sister, Shirley Conner; six adoring grandchildren—Claudia Byler, Lani Davy, Gracelynn Davy, London Davy, Bradley Hanks, and Kaden Davy—and two precious great-grandchildren, Wrenleigh Davy and Annalynn Byler. These relationships were the pillars that sustained Juanita’s spirit and filled her life with immeasurable love.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dusty Davy; her parents, Walter Soileau and Lorena Miller Soileau; her brother, L.D. Soileau; and her sister, Gerry Godeaux. Their memories live on as a testament to the family bond that shaped Juanita's life and character.

Family, friends, and all who knew Juanita are invited to honor her life and legacy with services held at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, including a Rosary at 6:00 PM prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. 

Juanita’s life was a tapestry woven with kindness, care, and devotion. Her presence brought warmth and light to those she loved, and her legacy is carried forward by her family who will continue to cherish every memory made in her embrace. In remembering Juanita Gale Soileau Davy, we hold close the enduring love she gave so freely and the quiet strength with which she faced life’s joys and challenges.
