Joycie Brown Rhodes passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the age of 92. A Closed (family only) Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Father Matthew Higginbotham officiating. Rite of committal will follow, led by her grandson, Reverend Jeffery Powell, at St. Paul Mausoleum. Joycie is survived by one daughter, Carol Powell and husband Brent; two grandchildren, Tiffani Heinen and husband Dr. Monty, Reverend Jeffery Powell and wife Jane; eleven great-grandchildren, Dr. Lauren Theriot and husband Dr. Tyler, Dr. Elizabeth Person and husband Zac, Victoria Fontenot and husband Wesley, Anna Claire Heinen, Isabella Heinen, Caroline Heinen, Maria Heinen, Tyler Powell and wife Ashley, Austin Powell, Ashlynn Powell, Sarah-Grace Powell; one great-great-grandchild, Thomas Person; two nieces, Jeanelle Gaspard and Ruthie Lavergne. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arcade Sittig; her second husband, Mitchell "Dusty" Rhodes; parents, John and Albertha Roy Brown; brother, Marvin "Son" Brown; granddaughter, Allie Powell.
