Dear Carol and family, I'm so sorry to read so belatedly of Joycie's passing. I remember her just as she's described here. She was so welcoming to us all when we passed through to visit her and Dusty, my dad's "Cuz." My dad enjoyed catching up with her from time to time by phone and will be sad to hear this news. Ms Joycie was one of the sweetest women anyone could ever know and I know that she will be greatly missed.
Carol, I can still picture her so vividly as she greeted me with that quiet voice and kind words as I would arrive at your house so you and Barbara Ann could teach me how to jitterbug!
I have wonderful memories of us country bumpkins growing up together in the 50’s and 60’s and Joycie has a big role in my warm and fuzzie memories. I am so sad for you that she is gone .
Know that she was some very special lady.

Although she was my first cousin, we always knew her as "Aunt Joycie". A sweeter and kinder lady than her cannot be found this side of heaven. Aunt Joycie could speak the wittiest and wisest advice in one short sentence like no one I've ever known. I miss her dearly.
