Joycie Huckaby Francois passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the age of 93. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontana Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son on Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM, at which time there will be a Rosary by Deacon Gary Gaudin with Catholic Daughters in attendance, followed by final farewells and the procession to the church. Joycie is survived by two sons, Carl Francois and wife Jeannette, Craig Francois and wife Shirleen; one daughter, Paula Fuselier and husband Peter; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Houston Francois; one daughter, Clare Montz; her parents, Melvin J and Lozy Ardoin Huckaby; two sisters, Virgie Verges and Vernita Whittaker.
