Joseph A. Menier passed away on Monday September 2, 2013 at the age of 80. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg. Joseph is survived by two daughters, Janet Menier and Karen Menier, both of Eunice; two sisters, Rosa Mae Bertrand of Eunice, and Dorothy Vidrine of Pierre Part; and five brothers, Raymond Menier of Summerfield, FL, Herbert Menier of Eunice, Shelton Menier of Dutch town, Robert Menier of Church Point, and Chester Menier of Eunice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Elta Prudhomme Menier; two sisters, Mary Pearl Holden and Carol Miller; and one brother, John Riley Menier. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. that evening. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
