So sorry to hear of your dad and grandfather's passing away. Our thoughts are with all of you. Cliff and Dianne Janise
So sad to hear. May fond memories comfort you and may God bless you all at this time and in the days to come. May he Rest in Peace.
Dear Michele, Paula, Jessica, and Ann, your Dad was a great guy, kind, friendly, and helpful to everyone. I can still see him dancing with Mary Ann. They were such a wonderful team. Donald was proud of his Cajun heritage and was so happy when Cameron played. Sending prayers and sympathy, Sheila Landreneau
Tonight, my heart is heavy as I learn of the passing of my friend, Donald Sattler. Growing up together in the woods and rice fields of Richie, Mowata and Frey, memories of those good times flood my soul. Donald and I were very close because we sat together and rode the school bus to Iota and back every school day for many years. Donald was a year ahead of me in school and, to me, he knew everything there was to know about life. With 15 miles of gravel road going and 15 coming back, there was nothing we didn't talk about.
On weekends, I would ride our horse, Prince, to Donald's and we spent many Saturdays walking through the woods and shooting anything that moved.
When Donald graduated I lost my riding companion. The bus could just as well have been empty.
Through the years, we communicated from time to time, but not as much as I wish we had. In my life, I consider myself very fortunate and blessed to have been able to call Donald my friend. Rest in peace.
