He is survived by his wife; Georgia F. Ortego of Branch, LA.

Two Sisters: Jane O'Connor, Ville Platte, LA. Barbara Weiderman, Eunice, LA. Three Brothers: Nelwood Ortego, Pine Prarie, LA. Harvey Ortego, Eunice, LA. Jimmy Ortego, Eunice, LA.

He is preceded in death by his: Parents: Austin Ortego & Elizada Fontenot. Brothers: Array & Roland Ortego. Sister: Bonnie Bordelon.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM on Friday for a visitation until 1:30 PM. Funeral service will be at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2011. Burial to follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Eunice, LA. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
