Joseph Lee Carrier, age 82, a resident of Oak Lane nursing home of Eunice, La. passed away peacefully at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou after a brief illness. Joseph was born in Lawtell, LA. He reared his family in Eunice, LA. He later moved to Opelousas for several years until his health declined. Joseph was one of four children born to the late Melvin and Amelia Lavergne Carrier. He will forever be missed by his family. He is survived by his Three Daughters, Delores Mack of Houston, Texas, Linda Carrier of Opelousas, La., Rose Landry of Eunice, La. Seven Sons, Albert Carrier of Lafayette, La., Dennis Carrier of Virginia Beach, Va., Donald Carrier of Los Angeles, Calif. Paul Carrier of Pineville, La., Roger Carrier of Baton Rouge, La., Ronald Carrier of Baton Rouge, La., Walden Carrier of Hawthorne, Calif.

Fifteen grandchildren Preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Tate Carrier; One Son, Larry Carrier; One Brother, Lincoln Carrier, Sr., and One Sister, Ella Mae Carrier Semien.

Visitation is at St. Mathilda's from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2009 with a rosary @ 9:00 AM. Funeral service will be at St. Mathilda Catholic Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2009 . Burial to follow in St. Mathilda Cemetery in Eunice, La. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
