A funeral service will be held for Joey Smith, 37, on Monday, April 18, 2011, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home at 2 PM. Joey passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011. He is survived by his mother, Norma Lavergne Smith of Eunice ; a son, Matthew Smith of Baton Rouge; his sister, Susan Stewart Longshore of McKinney, TX; nephews, Joshua Longshore and William Stewart, III; a neice, Stephanie Conn. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Douglas Smith, Jr.; a brother, William "Billy" Stewart Jr.; maternal grandparents, Issac Lavergne & Beulah Bozyone Lavergne; paternal grandparents, Joseph D. Smith Sr. & Rita Lejeune Smith. Visitation will be Monday, April 18, from 8 AM until 2 PM.
