A funeral mass for Mr. Joseph Apton Cormier, 77, will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with entombment to follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Fathers Gil Dutel and Tom Voorhies will con-celebrate the funeral mass. Apton passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Tessie Fontenot Cormier; his daughter, Karen Rougeau and her husband Winston "Shorty" of Eunice; two sons, Sammy Cormier & his wife, Jackie of Eunice and Chad Cormier and his wife, Vickie of Eunice; two brothers, Ray Cormier of Ville Platte and Harold Cormier and his wife, Sherry of Lake Charles; two sisters, Betty Fontenot of Scott and Jackie Blanchard and her husband Harry of Eunice; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ophie and Julia Savoy Cormier.
