Johnny Fruge passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the age of 74. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Pastor Terry LaFleur will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Johnny enjoyed being "Santa Clause" for the city of Mamou, served the Mamou Police Department part time for three years and loved to play music. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home of Eunice and will resume on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 8:00 AM until time of Services. Johnny is survived by two sons, Chris Fruge and wife Rachael, Michael W. Fruge; two daughters, Yvette Fontenot and husband Mark, Heather Fontenot; one brother, Jimmy Fruge; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ann McGee Fruge; his parents, John Fruge and Edna Courville Fruge; two brothers, Joe Fruge, Cliff Fruge; one sister, Waver "Sis" Cain.
