John "To To" B. Manuel passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019, at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Chataignier. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier. Fr.Blaine Clement will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will reopen on Monday at 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 6:00PM. John is survived by his niece Roxanne Mire and husband Ronald of Bayou Vista, his nephew Scotty Manuel and wife Pam of Morgan City, one great niece, Robin Mire, three great nephews; Jared Manuel, Braden Manuel, Sean Manuel, one great-great nephew Julian Manuel, two great-great nieces; Jade Manuel and Jolie Manuel, his cousin, Juanita LeBleu and husband John. John was preceded in death by his parents Maurice Manuel and Rozina Miller Manuel, two brothers; Lullan Manuel and Leroy Manuel, one nephew, Bradley Manuel. Although John never had children he loved his nieces and nephews as his own. After many years he retired from Mobil Oil Company. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid gardener. Cooking was one of his favorite past times. John was always concerned about the well being of his family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Oaklane Wellness as well as Heart of Hospice, especially his nurse, Jada Miller and Dr. Brian Heinen.
