John Ray Schneider, Sr. passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the age of 80.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

John is survived by one daughter, Yolanda S. Martz of Warner Robbins, GA; three sons, Randy Joseph Schneider and wife Karen of St. Simon Island, GA; Ramey J. Schneider of Mandeville, and John Ray Schneider, Jr. and wife Debbie of Kenner; two sisters, Clara Smith of Oberlin and Julia Ann Slade of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Manual Schneider; his wife, Linda Rougeau Schneider; and one brother, George Schneider.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 5 PM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. The funeral home will reopen on Saturday at 8 AM for visitation until the time of service.
