So sorry for your loss. You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers.
I met John as a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. When I decided to mark the grave of my confederate ancestor, John came with his cannon and crew to fire it in honor and commemoration of my great grandfather, Victor Jean François Contini-Sittig. Since that time, he was a guest speaker on several occasions at my SCV Camp in Lafayette. God grant him eternal rest and peace in Heaven.
John François
Sending prayers to you and your family Van.
