John Wilfred Hebert passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2019, at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Church in Basile. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Elton. Father Kennon Brown will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Basile and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 6:00PM. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. John is survived by two sons; Clayton Hebert and Charles Hebert, one sister Betty Marcantel, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, Eval Hebert and Evalia Ardoin, one daughter, Cindy Hebert, one sister, Audrey Butler. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
