John Albert Guidry Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the age of 74. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Ashford Cemetery in Basile. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 12:30 PM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Friday at 7:00PM. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. John is survived by three sons; John Guidry Jr. and wife Marlene, Daniel Guidry and wife Mary, Troy Guidry and wife Sonya, one daughter, Sherry Eaves and husband Kimbo, three brothers; Alfred Guidry, Leaven "Black" Guidry, Larry Guidry, one sister, Lorainne Bertrand, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Guidry and Cecile Miller Guidry, his wife, Jennifer "Tottie" Guidry, one son, Shannon Guidry, two brothers; Cleaven Guidry, Felton Guidry, three sisters; Judy Gotreaux, Jeanette Higginbotham, Bernice Arnaud, one granddaughter Melanie Guidry, one great grandson, Bently Guidry. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
