John Elvey Gradney Sr.'s Obituary
John “Elvey” Gradney, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the age of 73. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Duralde with Father Hampton Davis officiant. Burial will follow in Cesaer Cemetery in Duralde.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with a Rosary at 7:00 PM by Deacon Chuck Ortego. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Tuesday until time of Services.
“Elvey” is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Priscilla Rougeau Gradney; one son, John Gradney, Jr. and wife Tami; one daughter, Rachelle Miller and husband Phillip; one sister, Nora Lastrapes; four grandchildren, Austin Gradney and wife Lizzie, Ashley Miller, Justin Miller, Luke Miller; niece, Jakie Cherry and husband Charlie; nephew, Jim Lastrapes and wife Lisa; great-nieces, Caroline Geib and husband Bradley, Danielle Hines and husband Ty, Penelope Lastrapes; great nephew, Jonah Cherry; great-great nephews, Ben Geib, John Hines; great-great niece, Annie Geib.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tovie and Emily Allen Gradney
