John Michael Fruge went to rest with his Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the age of 17. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Cremation will follow with interment of his ashes at a later date. At the request of family, visitation will be held at St. Anthony's from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM, at which time the Women's Act Sisters will recite the Rosary, followed by Services. The readers at the Mass will be Andre' Fruge and Steve Benson. In his short life, John Michael was known for his love of music and theatre, which is where he planned to further his education. John Michael is survived by his parents, John and Paula Benson Fruge; his sister, Katie Fruge; grandmother Ann Fruge; his Godparents Tyler Fruge and Tracy McClendon; his beloved pets, Ella, Benni and Augie and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dr. Benny Fruge and his maternal grandparents, Harold Benson and Linda Gay Ardoin. Pallbearers will be Caleb Stark, Patrick Fruge, Mitch Benson, Bradi Benson, Joel Fruge and Rusty Christ. Honorary pallbearers are John Seeger, Tim Asmussen, Dr. Bernie Fruge and Bryan Scofield.
