In 2021, John Michael and I became friends online. Throughout that time we FaceTimed and talked about everything from Euphoria, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and our futures… Even tonight over 2 years later I still miss your calls and texts. Rest easy buddy.
Just got home from Chicot! Almost 2 years later, I went down to the dock, one of the last places we spoke, the first time I came out to a family member, to you. Thanks for being a part of my journey. Thank you for everything. I miss you.

John Michael. I love you more than words can express. Being here at your house right now and not seeing you pop out the back door and bounce down the steps —— is heartbreaking beyond words. I love you to the moon and back, and back again! I miss you so darn much it’s not even funny.

We watched John grow from a boy into a fine young man. We watched him play with his dogs and enjoyed the annual 4th of July and New Years fireworks from our rockers on the front porch across the street. His neighbors will miss him and his wonderful smile.
