Joeline Menou, 79, wife of LeRoy Joel (L.J.) Stark for over 60 years died Friday, June 3 at Acadian Regional Hospital in Eunice, LA.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Claire Weaver & husband John of Baton Rouge, LA and Cathy Ritter & husband Ervin of Lafayette, LA; three sons, Steven Stark & wife Laurie of Baton Rouge, LA; Carl Stark & wife Elieen of Baton Rouge, LA; and Joel Stark & wife Teri of DeRidder, LA; two sisters, Semone Todd & Stephanie Burton, Sulphur, LA 13 Grand Children and 10 Great-Grand Children. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Beth; her parents, Roland Menou and Marie Louise Privat, three brothers, Roland, Privat (Peter) and Victor, one sister, Jeanelle Bailey. Joeline was a elementary school teacher, having taught at East Elementary for several years. She was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Iota and ULL. Instead of flowers, memorials can be made to her favorite organizations: St. Anthony Catholic Church of Eunice, St. Francis School of Iota, Red Cloud Indian School of Pine Ridge, South Dakota; The Gideons International (Bibles), P. O. Box 1484, Eunice; The Welcome House of Maxie, 24292 Crowley-Eunice Highway, Crowley, LA, or the charity of choice.Visitation hours at Quirk & Son Funeral Home are 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, June 5, 2011. Funeral service will be at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 6, 2011. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to her daughter Beth. Pallbearers are grandsons: John Weaver, Lee Ritter, Will Stark, Daniel Ball, James Mungall and Ian Mungall. Honorary pallbearers are Stevie Ritter and Lee Stark, both in the military currently serving overseas.
