Joann Benoit Johnson passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at the age of 69. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 1:30 PM. at Annunciation Catholic in Duralde. Burial will follow. Fr. Matt Hebert will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 6:30PM by Deacon Jim Cormier. Joann is survived by her husband, Marcell Johnson Sr. , three sons; Marcell "Jr" Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Cyprien "Charles" Johnson and wife Christine, four daughters; Maretta Deshotel and husband Benny, Aline King and husband Joe, Becky Merikle and companion Donald Benoit, Maranda Cormier and husband Jason, three brothers; Gerald Benoit, Darrell Benoit, Joe Benoit, five sisters; Ruby Carrol, Wilma Bihm, Jeanette Prejean, Jeanelle Johnson, Brenda Benoit , twenty grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Benoit and Gladys Cormier Benoit, three sisters; Linda Daigle, Wilda Bihm, Judy Benoit, one great grandson, Karson Manuel. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
