Jimmy Lee Blanchard passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the age of 79.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 1, 2014, at 10 a.m. at New Hope Fellowship Church in Eunice. Pastor Richard Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Joyce; one daughter, Monica Bunch of Arkansas; three sons, Dirk Blanchard of Eunice, Marcus Blanchard of Oklahoma, and Blaine Courville of Opelousas; four sisters, Joyce Venable of Eunice, Charlene Bellard of Eunice, Jean Nore Fontenot of Eunice, and Pat Courville of Eunice; one brother, Frank Blanchard; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Blanchard and Rella Bellard Blanchard and two daughters, Jennifer Derbes and Jeanette Blanchard.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday for visitation until the time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
