Jimmie Doucet passed away on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at the age of 68. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January 16, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Eunice. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Elwanda Doucet of Eunice; three sons, James B. Doucet and his wife Melissa of Ville Platte, Brian K. Doucet of Eunice, and Michael Doucet and his wife Lessie of Eunice; two sisters, Betty Castille of Baton Rouge and Irene Richard of Eunice; three brothers, Lubert Doucet, Morris Doucet, and Dale Doucet, all of Eunice; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Doucet and Mary Hebert David; and one sister, Syble Smith. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
