A Mass of Christian Burial for Jimmie Lee Babineaux, 67, will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 11 AM on Friday, January 14, 2011. Fr. Austin Leger will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Thomas More Cemetery. Jimmie passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. He is survived by his son, Eric Babineaux of Eunice; his daughter, Erika B. Oddo & her husband Mike of Kenner; one sister, Brenda B. Moreau; two brothers, John "Tuttie" Babineaux and Brent Babineaux both of Eunice; Grandchildren, Bryce Babineaux and Kain Oddo. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Babineaux; brothers, Carol and Harlen "Tee" Babineaux. Vivitation will be held on Thursday from 10 AM to 10 PM. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon David Guillory on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. Visitation on Friday will begin at 8 AM until service time.
