Met him and he was so nice to me and made me feel at home.He told me of his past and gave me some of his many stories.A quality man.
I know we are all feeling a little bit sad,
That we've lost our Grandpa, our friend and our dad
Together we have cried an ocean of tears
As we feel so empty and hold many fears
But Grandpa would want us to know he's in a good place
And that he watching us all with a smile on his face
As we have made him so proud, as proud as can be
That he has raised such a beautiful and special family
Thinking back now I really must say
I feel lucky and privileged to have known Grandpa to this day
For in my life, you have played a special part
The memories I will treasure and keep close to your heart
For me I am glad my baby nieice he got to meet
And for all of us, be grateful, his life is now complete
To each one of us he has loved and cared
And a family, be thankful for the good times we shared
Although he has gone we will always be together
And his spirit will live on in each one of us forever
When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star
As that will be Grandpa looking down on us from afar
And now I would like to thank the good Lord above
For blessing us with our Grandpa with his kindness and love
Dear God, if it is not too much fuss
Take extra special care of our Grandpa as he is very dear to us

Be sure to protect us and guide us on our way

I would like to send sympathy out to the Simon family from me and my family in your times of sorrow. God knows whats best husband, dad, grandpa, family and friends. He takes the good one and gives the others a chance to get right. He will be missed but one day you will see him again. Just keep your heads up. It might be hard right now but it will be get better. Just say he is in a better place where theres no more pain.

We deeply send our sympathies to the Simon family. We didn't know Mr. Jessie Simon, but we know his daughter Romanella loved him very much and spoke of him well. We pray that Roman and our nephews (Kirk Jr. and Courtney Lee) will know we are there for anything they may need at this time during their loss. God bless the whole family during this time!

Sorry we were not able to attend the services due to work, but you all are in my thoughts and prayers. My best memory of Bro.Jessie was him playing the guitar and singing "Lord lift me up",back in the 60's, when I was a child and we would have church at home. Now he's gone on to get his reward. I am truly sorry to be so late in sharing my feelings about Brother Jesse as I was not aware of his passing last year. Normally I preached in New Iberia some Sunday's and would see Jesse Roy from time to time in St Martinville but not of late. He was a man of good demeanor and knew the word of God he will be missed greatly. Sorry for your loss.Shadric
