Jessie Paul Simon passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the age of 78.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile. Bro. W.P. Zeno will officiate. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Basile.

Jessie is survived by his wife Eula Roberts Simon; three sons, Jessie Roy Simon of Lafayette, Steve Simon of Tulsa, OK, and David Simon of Alexandria; two daughters, Romanell Simon of Dallas, TX and Ella Simon of Lafayette; one brother, James Simon of Oakdale; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, Joubert Simon, Sr. and Victoria Vizenat Simon; one son, Fredrick Simon; one daughter, Christine Simon; three brothers, Joubert Simon, Jr. , Farris Simon, and Joe Simon; and two sisters, Doretta Woods and Elma Clophus.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 8 a.m. until the time of service at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile.
