Jean McCormick McManus passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the age of 88. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Eunice. Reverend Regina Hickman will officiate. At the request of family, visitation will be from 8:30 AM until time of Service on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Eunice. She was a teacher for 30 plus years. One of her accomplishments was bringing the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to Louisiana. For this she was awarded the Rotary Citizen of the Year in 2008 and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Angel Award in 2009. Jean is survived by four daughters, Wyonna Young, Brenda Francois and husband Jimmie, Mary Johnson and husband Keith and Tracy Duvall and husband Dana; nine grandchildren, Brian Young, Rex Young, Christina Brown and husband Jason, Ben Aguillard and wife Brittany, Brooke Aguillard, Benny Francois and wife Dionne, Michael Duvall and wife Chelsea, Shelby Duvall, Nicole Duvall; nine great grandchildren, Drew, Maria, Lathen, Wesley, Micah, Sawyer, Brooklyn, Jaylee and Cade. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nancy Mapes McCormick; one daughter, Linda Gail McManus; step granddaughter Rebecca Francois; son in law S. J. Young.
