He is survived by his wife Pearl Mae (Prather) Young of Eunice, La.

One Son, James M. "Black" Young, Jr. & wife Debbie of Eunice, La.

One Sister, Dorothy Rice of Beaumont, Texas

Six grandchildren Three great-grandchildren

Preceded in death by: Parents, Stephen & Mattie Bell Andrus Young; Brothers, Elmo, Grady, Gerald, & Gordon Lee Young; Sisters, Ethel Sonnier, Lois Sonnier, & Olma Phillips.

Visitation is from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Funeral service will be at Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 5, 2010 . Burial to follow in at St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice, La.Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street is in charge of arrangements.
