James "Carrol" Ardoin's Obituary
James “Carrol” Ardoin passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the age of 84. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Father Corey Lavergne officiating. His ashes will be entombed in St. Paul Mausoleum.
At the request of family, visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, at which time there will be a Rosary by David Guillory, followed by Services.
“Carrol” loved gardening, Cajun dancing and his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Margaret Prather Ardoin, who stated “He has now returned to his first love and mother of his children, Jane. Thank you God and Jane for the years I was allowed to love him – my best friend, my knight in shining armor. He promised me to never have a dull moment. He kept that promise.”
He is also survived by his children, Michelle Shults (Mark), Amelia Vizina (Scott), Alicia Richard (Jeff), Marty Ardoin (Cindy), Michael Ardoin, John Paul Ardoin (Korie); step-son, James Wallett (Tammy); grandchildren, Joey Ardoin, Jacob Ardoin, Janie Ardoin (Ben Soileau), Jordan Ardoin, Shawn Pope (Gena), Maegan Schoolcraft (David), James Vizina (Amanda), Garrison Vizina, Carol Gondron (Ryan), Rebecca Vizina, Elizabeth LeJeune (Beau), Joshua Richard, Laura LeBlanc (Bryce), Ashley Ardoin, Alexis Ardoin, Nicholas Ardoin, Lindsey Ardoin, Madison Ardoin (Luke), Annie Ardoin; step-grandchildren, Michael Wallet (Kim), Renee’ Morein (Ike), Taylor Wallett, Blair W. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Jane Courville Ardoin; son, Dr. James Anthony Ardoin OBGYN and his daughter-in-law, Lori Weeks Ardoin; grandson, Corporal Matthew T. Richard; step-grandson, C.J. Miller; his parents, Tanzy Ardoin and Louisa Aucoin Ardoin.
The family wishes to extend supreme gratitude to the staff of Hope Hospice, Nicole Deaville, Megan Comeaux , Lakasha Jones, Clara Padilla, Lisa Guidry and to Dr. John Rainey and his staff for the wonderful care provided to Carrol.
