Irma "Jean" Simar passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 86. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon T.J. Richard officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iota. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 24, 2021 with a Rosary at 6:00 PM led by Delores Dubois. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Sunday until time of Services. "Jean" is survived by five sons, Bennett Simar, Tommy Simar, Scot Simar and companion Wilma Arnaud, John Simar and wife Jennie, Matt Simar; daughter in law, Phyllis Simar; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Simar; parents, Fabus and Attie Miller Fontenot; four brothers, Carlton Fontenot, Kenneth Fontenot, Ray Fontenot, Harold Fontenot; four sisters, Hilda Arabie, Anna Frey, Lovie Spalding, Nellarene Fontenot.
