Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73. Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. Irice is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lavergne of Eunice; one step-son, Brad Lavergne and wife Kristi of Church Point ; one daughter, Shelagh Verette and one brother, Wilfred Darbonne of Baton Rouge; one sister, Lelia D. Bourgeois and husband Larry of Jackson, LA.; and five grandchildren; Joshua and Jennifer Verette and Trae, Alexa and Drew Lavergne. Irice was preceded in death by her parents, Raillie Darbonne and Vernice Miller Darbonne; and three brothers, Paul M. Darbonne, Melton J. Darbonne and James Darbonne. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 for visitation until 10:00 am. Quirk and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
