Irene Doucet Richard passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the age of 97. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father John Dugas Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM until time of departure for Services. Irene is survived by her son, Stephen Thibodeaux (Theresa); brother, Dale Doucet (Linda); four grandchildren, Toby Thibodeaux (Jamie), Joseph Thibodeaux (Tiffany), Robert Thibodeaux, Jr., and Kristy Fontenot (Shawn); thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolton Richard; her son, Bobby Thibodeaux; her parents, Paul and Mary Hebert Doucet; three brothers, Lubert Doucet, Jimmy Doucet, Morris Doucet; two sisters, Sybil Smith and Betty Castille.
