Ida Long Guidry was born on March 24, 1928 and passed away on July 12, 2012 at the age of 84. She was a resident of Eunice, LA. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 14, 2012 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice at 10 am. Pastor Brian Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Courville Cemetery in Eunice, LA. Ida is survived by her husband, Sidney Guidry; one son, Wayne Guidry and wife Judy of Arnaudville, LA; one daughter, Janet Cornelier of Eunice, LA; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Amelia Miller Long; one daughter, Doreen Welch; four brothers, Walter, John, Wilson, and Jessie Long; two sisters, Addie Amy and Edna Miller. The family will receive friends on Friday July 13, 2012 from 2 PM to 9 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home for visitation. The Funeral Home will reopen on Saturday July 14, 2012 at 8 am until service time.
