Hubert Joseph Blanchard passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the age of 79.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Fr. Clinton Sensat will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice.

He is survived by his companion, Betty Sonnier; one son, Jeffery Blanchard; three daughters, Jackie Speyrer, Michelle Gahn, and Kathleen Blanchard; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Ed C. and Elia Cormier Blanchard; one brother, Joseph P. Blanchard; two sisters, Effie Menier and Mable Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018, from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. A rosary will be prayed on Monday at 6:00 PM by Sister Pius, Margie Saucier, Alice Blanchard, and Eugenia Bellanger. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday for visitation at 8:00 AM until time of service.

The pallbearers are Kyle Nelson, Connor Gahn, Trevor Blanchard, Ched Blanchard, Chad Andrepont, and Ricky Bellanger.
