Mr. Hubert J. Blanchard, 78, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home. He is survived by his daughter, Charmine Robinson of Mamou; son, Eric Blanchard of Rayne; two sisters, Luther Benoit and Dale Ardoin of Durald. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Blanchard; parents, Amar & Mazie Fontenot Blanchard. Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 10 AM until 10 PM. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Jim Cormier on Sunday evening at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of The Annunciation in Durald on Monday, February 14, 2011, at 2 PM. Fr. Kendall Faulk will preside with burial at St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice.
