Herman Louis LaTour passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the age of 92. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 12:30 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 9:00 AM until time of services. Herman is survived by his wife, Mary LaTour , one son Keith LaTour, one daughter, Susan Carroll and Sam, one brother, Bobby LaTour, two grandchildren; Grayson Carroll and Dene' Carroll. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Gonzague LaTour and Emaline Lafleur LaTour, two brothers; Terry LaTour and Jerry LaTour, one sister, Eloise Joubert – Hodges. Herman was a very kind, patient and gentle man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his two grandchildren dearly and experienced many enjoyable moments with them. One of the highlights of his life was attending the Washington DC WW II Veterans tour of the new memorial. He was also retired from Cabot. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
