Herman Darbonne passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the age of 87.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Fr. David Hebert will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Herman is survived by his wife, Mary Fontenot Darbonne of Basile; two sons, Terry J. Darbonne and wife Katherine of Iowa and Tony Darbonne and wife Linda of Richard; one sister, Essie Mae Perriotti of Lake Charles; one brother, Ruppert Paul Darbonne of Basile; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Leras Darbonne and Lucille Lejeune Guillory and two brothers, Hillius Darbonne and JB Darbonne.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The church requests no food or drinks allowed and proper reverence to the Lord at all times.
