Herbert "TeeTe" Joseph
Menier
September 15, 1940 – May 19, 2026
Herbert "TeeTe" Joseph Menier, a man whose life was woven from the open road and the unyielding spirit of a cross country truck driver, passed away on May 19, 2026, in Eunice, Louisiana, leaving behind a tapestry of memories that will resonate through the hearts of all who knew him. Born on September 15, 1940, Herbert lived a life marked by hard work, steadfast devotion to family, and an enduring presence that comforted and inspired.
A proud member of the National Guard, he faithfully answered the call to serve his country with integrity and honor. His dedication to protecting and serving others will always be remembered.
TeeTe’s journey was not just defined by the miles he traveled but by the warmth and strength he carried with him. His passing at the age of 85 marks the end of an era for those who cherished his gentle wisdom and hearty laugh. The vast landscapes he once roamed have now become shades in the vivid landscape of his legacy.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Quirk & Son Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Visitation will will precede the service from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Cremation will follow services.
Herbert’s departure leaves a profound void but also the comfort of cherished family ties formed and nurtured throughout his lifetime. He is survived by four daughters who carry forward his spirit: Rhonda Hebert and her husband Tony, April Benoit and her husband Robert, Donna Kaye Dellapenta (Bryan Bowers), and Brandy Rene Israel (Adam Courville). His siblings who continue to honor his memory include brothers Chester Menier, Bobby Menier, Raymond Menier and his wife Joan, Shelton Menier, and sister Dorothy Vidrine and her husband Neldon “Cop Cop” as well as his sister-in-law, Angelina Hintz and husband Kelly. Through the generations, his lineage flourishes in the ten grandchildren he adored—Brock, Tabatha, Dustin, Halli, Joshua, Christopher, Robyn, Hanna, Jacob, and Makayla—and the eight great-grandchildren who bear the light of his legacy—Mallori, Brooklyn, Hudson, Amelia, Payton, Asher, Letti Cate, and Walker.
The heartache of Herbert's passing is deepened by the loss of his beloved wife, Doris Ann Johnson Menier, who preceded him in death, as did his parents Hubert and Elta Prudhomme Menier. He joins in eternal rest two brothers, Riley Menier and Audrey “Cabri” Menier, three sisters, Rosemae Bertrand, Pearl Hogan, and Carol Miller, and a great-grandson, Artt Bradley Aymond.
In the quiet moments following his final departure, those who knew Herbert “TeeTe” Joseph Menier remember a man who embraced life’s winding roads with courage and kindness, a steadfast patriarch whose legacy will endure in the laughter and stories shared at family gatherings, in the old photographs tucked away, and in the silent gratitude for a life well driven and deeply loved. As the sun sets over Eunice, Louisiana, it carries with it the echoes of a soul whose journey has reached its final stop—yet whose memory will continue to fuel the spirit of those who carry his name forward.
