Herbert Fontenot passed away on Sunday May 5, 2013 at the age of 75. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2013 at 1 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Father Cedric Sonnier will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Herbert is survived by one daughter, Trudy F. Alleman of Eunice; three sons, Herbert Dwayne Fontenot and his wife Christina, Russell Fontenot and his wife Frani, and Chuck Fontenot and his wife Sue, all of Eunice; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marie Fontenot Fontenot; his wife, Rita Goleman Fontenot; one brother, Hubert Lee Fontenot; one sister, Carol Ann Fontenot. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday at 3 PM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon David Guillory at 7 PM that evening. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM Tuesday for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
