A funeral service for Mr. Herbert E. Fontenot, 94, will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 10 AM, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Mr. Hebert is survived by his two daughters,Wanda F. Derbes and Sandra F. Copelin both of Lafayette. He is also survived by his brother, Royne Fontenot of Eunice; two grandchildren, Michelle Stang and Shannon Yarbrough; great grandchildren, Jacquelene Copelin, Kendel Copelin II, Brandon, Stephanie and Michael Stang. Mr. Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Bradley Fontenot; brother, Polan Fontenot. A rosary will be prayed at 6 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin.
