Henry Paul "HP" Fontenot passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the age of 82.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.

"HP" is survived by his wife, Gloria Blanchard Fontenot of Eunice; one daughter, Phyllis Hargroder and husband Howard of Eunice; two sons, Craig Fontenot and wife Cindy of Eunice and Dwayne Fontenot and wife Leslie of Eunice; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

"HP" was preceded in death by his parents, Hillric Fontenot and Olivia Fontenot Fontenot; one daughter, Patricia Fontenot; one son, Robert Fontenot; one granddaughter, Patricia; one grandson, Rusty; and three sisters, Mercedes Landreneau, Eldenia Granger, and Grace Augustine.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon David Guillory. The funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. for visitation until the time of service.
