Helen Guillet Veronie was born on March 9, 1926 and passed away on April 27, 2012. Helen was a resident of Basile, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile, LA with burial to follow at Reed Cemetery. Father Brian Taylor will officiate. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 6:00 PM. Helen is survived by two sons Philip Warren Veronie and wife Nordia of Scott, LA, and Steven Veronie of Henderson, LA; four daughters Linda V. Broussard of Lewisburg, LA, Kathryn V. Venable and husband Robert of Church Point, LA, Stephanie V. Usie and husband Ted of Mamou, LA, and Margaret V. Fontenot and husband Robert of Eunice, LA; two sisters Faye G. Cuttler of Bossier City, LA and Tena G. Bright of Lafayette, LA; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death her husband Alcin Veronie; her parents Wilfred and Idler Reed Guillet; three brothers Shelton Guillet, Barney Guillet, and Rusty Guillet; and four sisters Dessie Broussard, Elsie Sonnier, Fran Cloud, Jeanette Lambright. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 10:00 am to 9:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile, LA. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday for visitation until service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
