Helen James Reed passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at St. Mathilda Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mathilda Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held Saturday at Bishop Ceasar Hall from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM. Helen is survived by her husband, Lee John Reed; one son, Joseph "Jo-Jo" Reed; one brother, LeRoy James; one sister, Theresa Williams; two grandchildren, Jilliam Simpson and Joseph Reed, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest James, Sr. and Audrey Fruge James; two brothers, Robert James, Ernest James, Jr. and one sister, Paula Dunlap.
