Helen Marie Overstreet LaFleur's Obituary
Helen Marie Overstreet LaFleur passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the age of 84. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Sal Istre Celebrant. Interment of ashes will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Helen loved gardening, fishing, cooking and was an avid bird watcher, making use of her binoculars for hours at a time. She also loved and adored her grandchildren and had them each summer and most weekends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Helen is survived by two sons, Joul P. LaFleur and wife Eileen, Kell Jacque LaFleur and wife Judith; two daughters, Nina Lopez, Tammy LaFleur and husband Gary; one sister, Doris Ashcraft; ten grandchildren, Natasha Krummel and husband Ronald, Jr., Allison Silvas and husband Michael, Simone Breaux and husband Aaron, Hillary Lopez and husband Alex, Gabriel Lafleur and wife Rachel, Haleigh Edwards and husband Dennis, Madeleine LaFleur, Joel LaFleur, Dreama, Jamica and husband David; eleven great-grandchildren, Antonio Torres, Trent Krummel, Ronald Krummel, III, Nicholas Krummel, Hudson Silvas, Anthony Miller, James Breaux, Celina Berrio, Jonkell Duffard and wife Savanah, Maria, Tre; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Landon and Emeryson; sister-in-law, Susan Overstreet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelton LaFleur; parents, Walter and Ester Thompson Overstreet; three brothers, Hershel Overstreet, Walter Overstreet and Roland Overstreet.
