Hazel Noel Darbonne passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the age of 93. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at 2:00 PM at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Lawtell. Burial will follow at St. Bridget's Cemetery. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 7:00PM. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Hazel is survived by her son, Nathan Darbonne of Swords, La. , five daughters, Eva Richard of Opelousas, La., Margaret Darbonne of Eunice, Theresa D. Moreau and husband Randy of Eunice, La., Judy Darbonne of Eunice, La., Elizabeth Bazar and husband Gary L. Sr. of Opelousas, La., one sister, Mabel Roberts of Opelousas, La., eighteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren and one great -great grandchild. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Raphael Noel and Emilda Breaux, her husband, Yves Darbonne, three brothers; Wilsey Noel, Lawrence Noel, Allen Noel, one sister, Anna Lois Noel. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
