Gussie Fontenot Thompson passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the age of 94. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Reed Cemetery in L'anse Meg with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Gussie is survived by one son, Randall Thompson and wife Kathy; two daughters, Rita Vige and husband Scott, Pamela Thompson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. "JD" Thompson; her parents, Atale and Lizo Soileau Fontenot; two brothers, Winston "Joe" Fontenot, Melvin Fontenot; four sisters, Carrie Fontenot; Annie Johnson, Joyce Aucoin, Bertha Bell Soileau and one grandchild, Brandy.
